Best Episode?

The zit cream episode has to be a runner-up. Remember that one? It is homecoming week and Kelly buys Zit-Off from Zach to clear off the pimple on her nose? To her surprise, her face turned maroon the day of the big homecoming game- but its okay, so did the rest of Bayside's!
What about when Screech's parents went out of town and the gang threw a party. Mrs. Powers' Elvis statue broke, and the crew went through all sorts of chaos to get the money for a new one. What a classic!
I guess all in all, it is impossible to try to select one as universal favorite. They are all clever tales of outlandish high school happenings. Oh, how great it would be to go to Bayside!

Mr. Belding

Perhaps the most corny actor on the show, some argue he is the best. After an enticing conversation, my friend convinced me that he was the "glue that held the show together." Why?
According to him, Belding was the only character to actually make him laugh out loud while viewing the show. His personal favorite memories of the principal were when he made the announcements over the PA system and when he reminisced about being the Big Bopper DJ on KKTY Bayside Radio.
Can this be true? Is Mr. Belding really responsible for our continued viewing of the show? Although I see his points, I have to disagree. To me, the show will remain my favorite of all time because of Zach's constant scheming. Who better to star in a show than a good-looking blonde boy?

The College Years

What a flop! After the legendary high school series, the college years was such a disappointment. Okay, the producers had a good idea, but the storyline was out of control. First of all, what college has dorm rooms that size? If you know of any, let me know so I can get out of here! Next, whose RA is a former Pro-Football player in his late thirties? Aren't they supposed to be upperclassmen? After experiencing my freshmen year in college, there is no way it depicted college life.
How does Kelly land the thiry-something year old professor? Last time I checked, that was illegal. But hey, they went to costume parties together and had lunch dates with his daughter. COOL. And wasn't Screech the Valedictorian at Bayside? He is supposed to be a genius, yet he has no common sense. I understand that is his character, but don't you think it was a little played out?
I watch Saved By The Bell everyday on TBS from noon to one, and I cringe every time I see that the College Years is running.

How and Where Does Tori Come In?

Well friends, this question has been baffling me since my childhood, and I have just recently found the answer. Apparently, Elizabeth Berkley and Tiffani Amber Thiessen (Jessie and Kelly) decided to leave the show half way through the senior year season. As a result, Producer Peter Engel had to create a new character to fill in their spots. Jessie, Kelly, and Tori were supposedly all in the school at the same time, but in different classes. Therefore, they were never in any scenes together. The graduation episode was filmed before the girls decided to quit the show, so in the season finale, the graduation episode was aired.
Personally, I think this is ridiculous. I have been puzzled by this question for years and have had several debates about it. The producers should have informed the viewers of this travesty from the very beginning. You cannot just take out Zach's girlfriend/future fiancee and the class president for half of the senior year. Obsurd! Too many nights of lost sleep for nothing.

What ever happened to Kelly Kapowski?

Saved By The Bell was Tiffani Amber Thiessen's debut in the television industry. Born in 1974, Tiffani Amber Thiessen landed a starring role on Saved By The Bell as Kelly Kapowski. After the series finale, Tiffani continued her career by starring in Beverly Hills, 90210 for four years.
From there, she has made several guest appearances on many sitcoms and starred in many Lifetime Original Movies. In fact, she starred in one of my favorite "made for TV" movies titled Sweet Dreams.
After her boyfriend's suicide in 1999, Thiessen put her career on temporary hold while she tried to put her life into perspective. Unfortunately, Thiessen is disappointed that her "child-like" image is still associated with her name, and is currently desperately trying to make a new name for herself.
